Business Impact

Core Compensation

Multiple Promotion Reasons for Compensation Review

Workday now lets users choose multiple job change categories when starting a compensation review. This gives managers and employees greater flexibility and clarity in selecting promotion types and reasons.

With this improvement, compensation reviews can be customised to better match roles and promotion reasons, making the process smoother and more accurate.

Calculated Award Pools

With this release, users can now create and apply custom calculations for non-funded award pools in compensation reviews. These calculations automatically determine the pool amounts for additional adjustments, lump sums, and promotions.

This feature gives users more control and flexibility, allowing for customized and precise award pool calculations during compensation reviews.

Talent Performance

Career Development and Performance Tasks and Reports in the Career Hub

Workday brings career development and performance tasks and reports together in the Career Hub, creating one central place for employees to manage their career and talent activities.

The new central hub makes it easier for workers to find career development and performance tasks, helping them manage their talent information faster and with less effort.

Skills Cloud Skill Descriptions

With this release, Workday introduces AI-generated skill descriptions in Skills Cloud, providing clear, structured insights that include a definition, the knowledge required, and professional use cases for each skill.

This update helps organizations better understand skills while simplifying the process to update and manage their skills framework.

Payroll

Payroll Payment Discrepancy Detection

Workday now adds a safety check to payroll by verifying that the net pay matches the calculated payroll amount before processing. If there’s a mismatch, the payroll result is flagged with an Error status, preventing mistakes and ensuring employees are paid correctly.

This feature reduces the risk of overpayments or underpayments, improves payroll accuracy, and adds an automated check to catch discrepancies before they affect employees, minimizing the need for manual correction.

Payroll Agent

With this release, Workday introduces the Payroll Agent, an AI-powered assistant that makes payroll tasks easier for practitioners. Using advanced language models, it provides an intuitive, context-aware conversation experience to help streamline and automate key steps in the pay cycle.

The Payroll Agent helps streamline payroll operations by letting users quickly access data, identify issues, and act, reducing manual effort and ensuring accurate, timely payroll. It also makes tasks like report generation and minimum wage analysis faster and easier.

Recruiting

Enhanced Recruiter Hub

Workday enhances the Recruiter Hub, giving recruiters a central workspace to access job requisitions, candidates, tasks, and reports across the hiring pipeline.

Inbox tasks for each stage of the Job Application business process are now displayed as cards, making them quicker and easier to complete.

This new feature improves the recruiter’s experience by bringing all key recruiting information into one customizable workspace, helping recruiters make quick and smarter decisions.

Onboarding Plans: Manager Task Visibility

Workday now enhances onboarding by leveraging the Manager Insights Hub, giving managers clear visibility into new hires’ progress through an Onboarding tab and summary cards, helping ensure timely completion of all tasks.

This update improves compliance by helping managers quickly spot and address overdue onboarding tasks, enhances the manager experience by consolidating tracking in the Manager Insights Hub, and supports proactive management with Due Soon indicators to keep new hires on track.

Learning

Mass Express Interest

Workday Learning enables managers and role-based groups to express interest in courses for multiple team members across their learning organizations. This helps organizations identify skill gaps and address training needs quickly, supporting a more agile and prepared workforce.

This feature streamlines capturing training needs at scale by letting managers and role-based groups proactively advocate for their teams, rather than relying on individual self-reporting. It ensures critical learning reaches the right people, while administrators gain actionable insights to measure demand and strategically schedule training.

System

Adoption Planning Hub

Workday now introduces the Adoption Planning Hub, replacing the existing Adoption Planning feature to help users more effectively evaluate and adopt new features and enhancements.

Users can assign adoption items to team members, create and prioritize tasks, explore AI-recommended features, stay updated on retiring features, and track adoption progress with roadmap and backlog visualizations.

Restart Business Processes in Error User Experience

There is a new ‘Fix Business Process’ task that improves the experience of restarting business processes that are in error, making it easier for administrators to manage and restart events while reducing confusion.

This update makes new events in error more visible, lets administrators easily access and act on the ‘Fix Business Process’ task even if it’s not in their My Tasks list, and helps quickly identify which business process definitions have exceptions.

Configurable Cards

With this release, Workday introduces configurable cards, allowing users to create and customize cards for your hubs to display the information that matters most.

Configurable cards can be added to worker’s overview pages to highlight key information users need most.

Absence

Absence Balance Visibility and Request Absence Calendar Visibility Options

This update introduces a new Absence Balance and Request Calendar Visibility option in the Request Time Off settings within the Configure Optional Fields task.

The new options let users control who can see the absence balance and Request Absence calendar, whether for all users, specific security groups, or workers who meet certain criteria.
