Workday enhances external payroll input traceability by allowing supporting documents to be added, viewed, and deleted directly within external payroll records. 

This feature improves payroll accuracy and efficiency by enabling better tracking, validation, and reconciliation of payroll data and supporting faster audit preparation through centralized documentation. 

Import External Payslips, External Payroll Documents, and External Payroll Results Inbound Integration Templates Update 

Workday enhances the Import External Payslips, External Payroll Documents, and External Payroll Results inbound integration templates by adding Payroll Vendor attributes. 

This functionality provides a more consistent user experience across Workday integration templates. 

Core Connectors 

Accounting Journal Inbound Connector 

Workday updates the Core Connector: Accounting Journal Inbound integration to prevent the integration from launching when no input files are present. 

This functionality improves the efficiency and resiliency of integration. 

Documentation Retention Policy Update 

Workday enhances the documentation retention policy for financial integrations across multiple core connectors and banking integration templates. 

This update improves security for integration documentation and delivers a more consistent user experience when managing and accessing integration output files. 

Check Printing Connector Integration 

Workday updates the Core Connector: Payroll Check Printing (Enhanced Performance) integration template to improve how checking data is sent to banks that do not support existing checking integrations. 

This update improves the efficiency and performance of the Check Printing Connector integration. 

Banking and Payment Integrations 

WPN – ISO 20022 V8 Direct Debit Integration Template 

Workday delivers a new WPN – ISO 20022 V8 Direct Debit integration template to process direct debit payments using the ISO 20022 Customer Direct Debit Initiation V8 (pain.008.001.08) format. 

This update aligns with new ISO 20022–based formats that enable more efficient payment processing and improved internal reconciliation of payments and account statements. 

WPN – ISO 20022 Integration Template Update 

Workday updates ISO 20022 integration templates so that integrations complete with errors when customer data issues occur, instead of failing schema validation. 

This update prevents customer data-related errors from causing integration failures while still allowing data review and troubleshooting. 

Workday Bank Connectivity – Referential Data Updates 

Workday delivers a new Workday Bank Connectivity – Referential Data Updates integration template that enables organizations to sync referential banking data with external partners, such as Kyriba, either manually or on a scheduled basis. 

This update reduces data conflicts during settlement processing, improves data consistency across banking integrations, and enhances the reliability of payment and settlement workflows – especially in complex, high-volume banking environments. 

Schedule Positive Pay Files for Workday Bank Connectivity 

Workday enables scheduling of Positive Pay integrations in Workday Bank Connectivity to send new check information within a date range, with optional filtering by financial institution and bank account. 

This enhancement provides a simpler way to send positive pay data and enables sending data from multiple payment printing runs in a single integration. 

Web Services -Updates 

Submit Miscellaneous Payment Request 

Workday corrects the EIB integration based on the Submit Miscellaneous Payment Request web service to auto-generate a Miscellaneous Payment Request Line Reference ID when a blank value is submitted. 

Ensures payment requests are processed correctly when a line of reference ID is not provided. 

Get Payroll Results SOAP API 

Workday enhances the Get Payroll Results SOAP API by including the Workday ID (WID) in response. This update simplifies how payroll results can be referenced and consumed by downstream systems. 

Including the Workday ID enables easier reconciliation and seamless data joining across payroll, reporting (RaaS), and other downstream integrations, reducing the need for complex matching logic and improving auditability. 

Data Changes on Demand REST API 

Workday continues to improve the Data Changes on Demand (DCOD) REST API for making on-demand payroll data requests to third-party payroll systems. 

The Data Changes on Demand REST API removes the need for scheduled runs and file-based outputs. Global Payroll v1 effective changes REST API now supports additional response filters and returning Reference IDs for selected fields. 

Integration Platform Updates 

Retrieve Technical Files 

Workday enhances integration performance and usability by making it easier to retrieve technical files from integration events. 

This update streamlines the retrieval of technical files, making it easier to identify and troubleshoot integration issues. 

Fast Inbound SFTP File Transfers for EIBs and Integrations 

Workday introduces a Fast File Transfer Mode for inbound EIBs and integrations that use the SFTP transport protocol. This option can be enabled during EIB and integration configuration when SFTP is selected, helping reduce overall integration run times. 

This enhancement improves integration performance and reliability by reducing processing delays for high-volume inbound files, enabling faster data availability and smoother end-to-end integration execution.
