Version-Specific Overrides for Linked Accounts 

Introduces new account settings allowing linked accounts to be enabled for data entry in specific plan versions. 

This provides greater model flexibility, enabling users to import data, use Predictive Forecast, or enter data directly on sheets for chosen versions while retaining links for others. 

Erase Data 

Retiring the erased data functionality in loaders and replacing it with a new component. 

Trended Workers Data Source 

Now it is possible to view workforce metrics for up to the past 72 months, doubling the previous limit. 

This expansion provides significantly more historical data for enhanced workforce planning and reporting. 

Pipeline Task Scheduling 

Enabling users to automatically run Could Data Connect (CDC) pipeline integrations tasks. Adds “Info & Schedules” and “Recent Runs” tabs to pipeline task pages, allowing the creation of multiple schedules, viewing run histories, and manual initiation. 

Automates data integration, significantly reducing manual intervention and improving operational efficiency. 

Workday Assistant for Adaptive Planning 

An AI-powered interface for natural language interaction. This Assistant provides contextual help and insights, making advanced planning tools more intuitive and accessible for all users. 

It aims to boost productivity and streamline access to Adaptive Planning information by offering concise, context-aware answers directly within workflows. 

Multicoordinate Support for Cell Explorer 

Enhances dashboards and reports by allowing multilevel and multidimension selections in filers. 

Enables users to drill into granular contributing account, level, and dimension details from aggregated data. It significantly improves root cause analysis, data exploration flexibility, and reduces manual effort for precise analysis. 

Cube Governance 

Now Workday allows bulk updates to the “Read only on sheet” property for Cube Standard and Cube Assumption accounts, saving significant time. Additionally, a new guardrail limits merged cube sheets to five by default, preventing potential system performance issues. 

Translated Currencies for Actuals Versions 

The release makes the feature generally available, enabling users to load actuals data in a specific translated currency for all levels. 

This eliminates conversion variances from source systems, ensuring actuals in Adaptive Planning precisely match the source and simplifying reporting 

True Parent to Child Balance Controls 

Provides an option to disable the automatic increase of parent budgets when child-level amendments are made. 

This new checkbox helps maintain parent budget integrity and meet compliance obligations. 

Dashboards 

Collaborate within Adaptive Planning 

Adds in-application chat capabilities directly on dashboards, user tagging, and expanded notifications. 

The feature eliminates the need for external communication, enhances data alignment, strengthens security, and fosters faster decision-making by enabling direct, in-context discussions. Access to dashboard permissions is required to utilize it.

Bottom-Up Headcount Planning: Refresh Plans from Actuals 

Enables refreshing HCM actuals directly into headcount plans.

Bottom-Up Headcount Planning: View and approve by Company, Cost Center, or Custom Organization 

Allows planning by company, cost center, or custom organization, enhancing flexibility beyond supervisory organizations. 

This update enables users to choose an organizational hierarchy best suited for their needs. The “Supervisory Organizations” field is now “Planning Organization” across relevant tasks and reports, and new reporting fields provide additional data granularity. 

Tasks and Task Runs in Adaptive Planning Integrations 

Consolidates task and task run management onto a single “Tasks” page. 

This enhances the user experience with a toggle switch to view either tasks or historical runs, new filters (status, last run, frequency), and an “Add New” button for creating tasks. 

Adaptive Planning Notifications 

2025R2 introduces notifications integration with Slack for standalone instances.  

This enables users to access and manage their Adaptive Planning notifications directly within Slack, significantly enhancing communication, collaboration and overall efficiency. 

Workday Adaptive Planning and NetSuite Integration 

Critical changes to NetSuite’s SOAP Web Services endpoint policy. 

Existing integrations might be impacted by NetSuite’s new 3-year support lifecycle for endpoints. Users with configured NetSuite Data Source are advice to upgrade to NetSuite 2025.1 to ensure uninterrupted integration functionality. 

Cloud Data Connect Pipeline Drill Through 

Enables users to access granular transactional data directly from heir cloud data warehouse without importing it into Adaptive Planning. 

This optimizes integrations by allowing live queries to detailed data from aggregated views, facilitating more informed planning decisions. 

A new “Drill into Cloud Imported Numbers” permission added. 

Security and Administration 

Unified Provisioning and Authentication (UPA) 

Introduces UPA for Adaptive Planning, offering a streamlined and secure user provisioning and authentication experience via Workday SSO.

This enhances user management with real-time sync, automated instance assignments, and improved sign-in, including OAuth 2.0 support for APIs.

Support for more products, including Adaptive Planning, Evisort, and Workday Buyer 

Improves and streamlines user provisioning, offering a new migration wizard for Adaptive Planning customers, and seamless navigation experience between Workday and supported products. 

Modeling   

Machine Learning Predictive Forecaster 

Improving the feature with automatic field population during forecast creation and editing, simplifying the setup process. It also introduces the ARIMA algorithm for enhanced accuracy. 

Provides clearer forecast explanations through a new feature impact chart, making forecasting more efficient and insightful.
