Cloud Connect for Third-Party Payroll

1. The total number of active employees in all the organizations that can be processed in a PECI run is now 250,000.

2. Workday has updated these purgeable data types, enabling you to purge data on external payroll documents that are related to both active and terminated workers:
• Worker’s External Tax Document Attachment and Comment
• Worker’s External Payroll Document uploaded as “”Other”” Attachment and Comment
• Worker’s External Payslip Attachment and Comment
• Worker’s External Payroll Input Comment

3. HIR-C event code is added to the PECI for hire corrections.

4. On the PECI and WECI integration template, the Compensation Plans data section is updated to report prorated amounts for percent based allowance plans.
This enhancement helps you more accurately report on Percent Based Allowance Plans when a worker has less than 100% full time employment.

E-verify

1. The E-Verify Environment URL attribute is renamed to E-Verify URL and the free text field is now a drop-down prompt that you can use to select any of the available staging or production environment URLs to run in your E-Verify Integration.
Note: Workday will automatically convert a valid URL to display within the new drop-down prompt whereas for an invalid URL, the drop-down will be left empty.

2. Workday now retrieves and saves your E-Verify Account ID to your tenant when you make a service call through the E-Verify integration.This ID can be viewed in E-Verify Account Details.
When E-Verify requires a mandatory web service upgrade, Workday will share your E-Verify Account ID with E-Verify at their request.

Export High-Volume Journal Lines *

1. On the Configure Integration Field Attributes task, workday delivers 95 new integration field attributes that you can configure as output data for additional details on the Summary Journal Line Data.

2. On the Launch/Schedule Integration task, Workday now:
• Removes the warning validation advising to select 8 or less dimensions to group by, enabling you to select as many dimensions as needed.
• Delivers a new Worktag to Exclude integration field that you can use to exclude journal lines with specific instances of Worktags from the generated output.
Note: Workday has a maximum limit of about 5 million summarized rows of data that you can export into a single file.If it is more, consider narrowing the criteria of your integration run and executing multiple integration runs.

3. With this update, workday delivers a new Compress Output integration attribute on the Configure Integration Attributes for Integration System task that you can enable to
compress your output file.

Note: You can access these tasks from the related actions menu of the integration system.

HMRC RTI Special Characters *

1. Workday has now enabled special characters in a Full Payment Submission (FPS) file to HMRC in these fields, on the Worker and Partner objects:
• Forename
• Middle Name
• Surname
Workday updated the Edit UK Employer Reference task with a new Enable FPS Special Characters checkbox option. When you select the checkbox, Workday converts special characters
in the Legal Name field to an HMRC accepted character when you submit the RTI FPS integration.
This saves you time instead of having to create a Preferred Name containing the special characters as well as using the Legal Name for HMRC.

2. Real Time Information (RTI) Final Payment Submission (FPS) integration now includes success and error receipts in the Integration Output Files tab. This provides all RTI information in one place.

Payroll Interface Integration Command Center *

1. Workday delivers a Manage Payroll Interface Integration Command Center Data Queue task (secured to the Set Up: Payroll Interface domain) on the Payroll Interface Integration Command Center dashboard.

With this task, Workday:
• Gives visual insight into the priority order of queue items across multiple configurations.
• Shows who the integration will send in the next 15-minute priority event launch.
• Enables you to remove or override the priority of a queue item for a worker.
Every 15 minutes, the integration sends the top 100 workers among all configurations with the highest priority to the third-party vendor.

2. Workday delivers a Payroll Interface Integration Command Center (ICC) dashboard (secured to the Set Up: Payroll Interface domain) that you can configure on the Maintain Dashboards report. The dashboard includes the Payroll Interface Integration Command Center Run Status worklet, where you can configure these tasks and reports (secured to the Set Up: Payroll Interface domain in the Payroll Interface functional area):

The ICC dashboard enables you to:

• Enable Data Changes Audit for Faceted Search integration attribute.
• Payroll Effective Change Interface / Payroll Interface Integration Command Center integration service.

3. Workday delivers a Manage Payroll Interface Integration Command Center Configurations and Activities task (secured to the Set Up: Payroll Interface domain) that you can access from
the Payroll Interface Integration Command Center (ICC) dashboard.

This task enables you to:
• Create an ICC configuration.
• Prioritize the data you send for each configuration.
• Send prioritized data every 15 minutes using the Payroll Effective Change Interface integration.
• Reduce the effort and cost to manage multiple integration runs.

Workday:
• Sets configurations to a Disabled status.
• Enables you to have up to 25 active configurations.

From the related actions menu of the configuration, you can access the:
• Tasks to enable or disable the configuration.
• Access the Manage Data Transferring Down Time task so you can set up data transferring downtime.
• Access the View Configuration as of Date Time report for ad-hoc and scheduled downtimes so you can check the state of a configuration.

When you access the Manage Payroll Interface Integration Command Center Configurations and Activities task for the first time, you must enter an integration system user (ISU).
Workday then creates the Queue Populator integration and sets the ISU as the integration system user for the Queue Populator integration.
You can only have 1 Queue Populator integration. As you make changes to configurations, Workday maintains the subscription service on the Queue Populator integration.

UK Civil Service Pension Integration *

Workday now supports the UK Civil Service Pension Scheme Interface using which you can build an integration to generate UK government civil service pension files.
This enables you to configure and maintain reporting requirements, and report salary, service, and payroll data to the scheme administrator in the correct file format.
This helps you to comply with the Cabinet Office and Scheme Administrator performance measures and targets.

Workday delivers 3 new processing modes for Bulk Import web services:
• High concurrency – to process a high amount of requests simultaneously, maximizing throughput and performance.
• Low concurrency – to process a lower amount of requests simultaneously, reducing the risk of data conflicts.
• Serial mode – to process requests sequentially, further reducing the risk of data conflict issues.

Each Bulk Import web service supports one of these modes by default. You can override the default processing mode of a Bulk Import web service in the HTTP header by specifying:
x-bulk-processing-mode-override = mode, where mode is either highConcurrency, lowConcurrency, or serial.
Note: If the mode you specify is not supported by the Bulk Import web service, it will continue to use its default mode.
