Funnel Chart in Report Writer 

Workday introduces Funnel charts to Matrix and Trending report types, giving you more data visualisation options in Report Writer.  
 

Funnel charts improve visual analysis and help you analyse linear processes, making it easier and faster to identify where significant data drop-offs occur.  
 

Scatterplot Charts in Report Writer 

Workday introduces the Scatterplot chart type for Matrix and Trending reports, providing a powerful way to visualise relationships between two different metrics. Scatterplots help you identify correlations and patterns by plotting individual data points across horizontal and vertical axes. 

Scatterplot charts enable deeper analytical insights into how different variables impact your business by allowing you to quickly see if a relationship exists between two metrics, such as the correlation between employee age and performance ratings. This visualisation makes it easy to identify data points that fall outside the expected range for more targeted investigations.  
 

Report Prompt Control 

Workday has added a new Control Prompt Values column to the Prompts tab when editing a custom report to streamline how you manage and interact with report criteria.  
 

This improves the user experience by eliminating the need to search through irrelevant prompts and increases reporting efficiency by preventing users from selecting invalid combinations that would result in empty reports.  
 

Reports as a Service 

Timeout Parameters in Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS): Added support to honor a submitted timeout parameter in Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS) calls. 

You can override the default timeout period of 6 hours for RaaS calls.  

Business Views for Financial and Spend Management 

This release introduces new Business View Data Sources for Financial Management and Spend Management. Business views blend and curate data from multiple Workday-delivered data sources, providing a consolidated and refined view of your information for more efficient and clearer reporting.  

This update provides new business views for cash, customer invoices, expenses, journal lines, revenue, and supplier invoices. 

It reduces complexity and confusion, making report creation more streamlined and intuitive.  

Hierarchies and Measures on Custom Composite Reports 

Workday no longer returns an error when you drill into a hierarchy or measure on a custom composite report.  

This is now a fixed feature. Workday has resolved the issue, and drilling into hierarchies or measures on custom composite reports now works as expected without returning an error. 

Discovery Boards 

Consistent Results for Trended Workers on Discovery Board 

When you use a discovery board that includes the Trended Workers report data source, Workday now displays consistent counts for values when you drill down on them or click “Show Details”. This occurs when you run the Maintain Field Lists for Reporting report.  

This is now fixed. Discovery Boards now show consistent counts for Trended Workers when you drill down or select Show Details, after running Maintain Field Lists for Reporting. 

People Analytics 

Improved Security for People Analytics 

Now you can configure multiple security hierarchies in Worker and Hiring pipelines in the Configure People Analytics report. If your security groups are secured by a single hierarchy at a time, under Row Level Security, you can select Multiple Hierarchy from the drop-down list, and the appropriate hierarchy will be automatically applied to the corresponding users.  

This improves security administration for People Analytics, giving you greater control over security access for your users and improving user adoption.  
Note: If you have constrained security access for both primary and secondary hierarchies, Workday recommends you use either the primary or secondary hierarchy and not the Multiple Hierarchy option. 

Prism Analytics 

Managing Prism Entitlement Exclusions for Accounting Center 

Workday now enables Accounting Center users to self-tag tables and datasets within Prism Analytics for exclusion from Prism entitlement calculations. You can now manually tag Prism tables and datasets that support Accounting Center processes to exempt them from usage reporting.  

Prior to this release, these manually created tables were included in Prism entitlement counts. 
 

This enhancement enables Accounting Center users to self-report on Prism entitlements by letting users tag Prism artifacts for exclusion. Prior to this release, Accounting Center users manually subtracted the published data rows used from the total on the Workday-delivered Prism Usage Details report to accurately report published Prism data rows. The net amount of the published data rows was used to report Prism usage for their annual reporting commitment to Workday.  
 

Update Stage Field Output Names 

With this release, Workday enables you to bulk updating the output names of a Prism Analytics dataset.  
 

This feature enables you to change stage field output names in bulk instead of individually, saving you time and effort.  
 

Bulk Tagging for Data Catalog 

Workday enables you to apply or remove tags for multiple datasets, tables, and data change tasks simultaneously in the Data Catalog.  
 

The bulk tagging ability enables you to efficiently add or remove tags on multiple datasets, tables, or data change tasks simultaneously, eliminating the need for individual edits.  
 

Visual Representation of Stages in Datasets 

Workday redesigned the dataset transformation interface to provide an interactive visual representation of your dataset stages and pipelines.  
 

Adding the visual representation of pipelines and stages improves the usability and accessibility of the data transformation tool. With simplified navigation, you can manage stages and pipelines more efficiently.  
 

Worksheets 

Create Workbooks from Composite Reports 

Workday enables you to instantly create Worksheets workbooks with live, refreshable data by clicking a new button on composite reports.  
 

This feature enables your teams to move faster by turning existing reports into live, reusable workbooks in a single step, eliminating manual re-creation and reducing setup time. By keeping reports connected to live data and securely within Workday, you maintain up to date insights while protecting sensitive information.
